Hi, my name is Dee and I am an Authorised (non-religious) Marriage Celebrant.
I conduct all types of ceremonies such as Weddings, Naming Ceremonies, Vow Renewals, Commitment Ceremonies to name a few.
Anam Cara means Soul Friend in the Celtic world. It was believed by the Ancient Celts that there is a soul that radiates about the body and when two people meet and formed a deep and everlasting bond that their souls would mingle. Thereby finding their "anam cara" - "soul friend".
I found my anam cara in 1986 and we are still together, so my goal is to help you find yours.
I am a romantic at heart and love to see people happy and in love, which is why I decided to become a marriage celebrant.
No matter what type of ceremony you want, I will work with you to help you plan your special day.
I am located in Elimbah, in the Moreton Bay Region and am happy to travel all over South East Queensland.

A Naming Ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome your new born baby or child into your family. There are not set rules for a naming ceremony, no legal requirements. I can work with you to plan a ceremony where you can bring family and friends together to celebrate the new arrival.

A Commitment Ceremony or Promise Ceremony is when two people choose to commit their lives to each, but without the legal aspects of a marriage. You can have all the bells and whistles of wedding ceremonies , including vows, rituals, readings or poems. I will work with you to make this a special day.
Ceremony Essentials
Wedding Ceremonies Required Documentation
- Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) - You will need to complete and sign this at least one month prior to, and no more than 18 months, before you wedding date. You can complete it online here or fill one in when we first meet.
- Birth Certificates - You will need to bring along your original Births Deaths and Marriages certified copy. It cannot be a photocopy or a JP certified copy. If you were born overseas and you are unable to obtain a copy, you will need to bring along your foreign passport.
- Photo ID - This can be either your driver's licence, passport or over 18 card.
- Evidence of termination of any prior marriages - If you have been previously married you will need to provide me with a copy of either a divorce certificate/decree, a death certificate or a Court ordered annulment certificate.
- Change of Name Certificate - If you have changed your name through Births Deaths and Marriages or via a Deed poll, you will need to provide me with a copy of your "Change of Name Certificate"
Ceremony Standard Inclusions
- Lodgement of the NOIM (Wedding Ceremonies Only)
- Meetings, phone calls, emails to discuss your ceremony plans
- Preparation of a specialised ceremony as per your requirements
- Assistance with writing of vows, selection of music, poetry, readings and rituals
- Officiate the ceremony
- Lodgement of all marriage documents
- Use of PA system, folding table, white table cloth, folding chairs (up to 4), white chair covers and coloured sashes in either satin or organza
- Dressed to suit the colour and/or theme of your day
